Dubai had been on our bucket list for so long! But we kept postponing it, waiting for the right time — or more specifically, waiting for Aagam (our younger one) to grow a little older so that we could handle him better during long flights and sightseeing.
Since Dubai is quite far from Singapore, we first tried shorter trips to see how he’d manage travel and food. Once we realised that he was comfortable eating a little outside and we had a good rhythm with his naps, we knew it was finally time. And what better reason than my husband’s birthday in March to make it happen? 🎉
🌤️ Best Time to Visit Dubai

If you’re planning a family trip, the ideal season to visit Dubai is from October to March. The weather is pleasant not too hot making it perfect for outdoor attractions like Miracle Garden and Global Village.
We went in March, just before it started getting warm, and it was ideal for both kids. The older one could enjoy long outdoor walks, while Aagam stayed comfortable in his stroller without the heat bothering him.
🍼 Prepping for the Trip with a Baby
Travelling with a baby means planning every little detail and trust me, it’s worth it! Here’s what worked for us:
✨ Night flight: We booked a night flight and made sure Aagam didn’t nap much before boarding. A full tummy and a fresh diaper right before takeoff = peaceful sleep all through the flight.
🍱 Baby meals: I packed homemade and packed Cerelac, plus a few fruits for the first day until we found a nearby supermarket.
🎒 Diaper bag must-haves: Diapers, wipes, change of clothes, bibs, snacks, and small toys/books to keep him busy.
👕 Clothes: Light, breathable daywear and a few warm layers for malls and cool evenings.
Having everything prepped helped us travel stress-free and focus on making memories together.
🏨 Choosing a Family-Friendly Hotel
One of the best decisions we made was booking a hotel apartment instead of a regular room. With a baby, it made a huge difference!
Our hotel had:
✅ An induction stove for quick baby meals
✅ A washing machine for small laundry
✅ A fridge for milk, fruits, and snacks
It honestly felt like home. The setup helped us keep Aagam’s routine consistent, while our older one enjoyed having space to play.
If you’re visiting with kids, look for hotels in Downtown Dubai, JBR, or Dubai Marina close to malls, beaches, and supermarkets.
✨ Our 7-Day Family Itinerary (Baby + Older Kid Friendly!)

We wanted a relaxed trip no rushing from one attraction to another. We followed Aagam’s nap schedule and made sure our older one also got enough playtime. The key? Taking turns one of us handled the baby while the other explored with the elder kid. Parenting teamwork at its best! 💪
Day 1: AYA Universe | Miracle Garden | Global Village
🪩 AYA Universe: A mesmerizing, immersive light experience! Our older one was fascinated by the glowing rooms, and Aagam enjoyed the colors and reflections totally baby-safe indoors and air-conditioned.
🌸 Miracle Garden: One of the most beautiful places in Dubai! Stroller-friendly paths, colorful displays — a visual treat for everyone.
🌍 Global Village: We went in the evening. Food stalls, mini replicas from around the world, live performances and the best part? Our older one was thrilled with the rides, while Aagam peacefully napped in his stroller.
Day 2: Burj Khalifa | Dubai Mall | Dhow Cruise Marina

🌆 Burj Khalifa: Seeing the city from the top was magical for all of us. The older one loved spotting tiny cars and buildings from above!
🛍️ Dubai Mall: Perfect for families from baby-changing rooms to the Dubai Aquarium and play zones, it’s a full-day outing.
⛵ Dhow Cruise Marina: Dinner with city lights and calm water. We skipped the loud music section and sat in a quieter spot Aagam dozed off while we soaked in the view.
Day 3: Dubai Frame | City Tour | Museum of the Future

🖼️ Dubai Frame: Easy to visit with a stroller, and the view is stunning the kids loved walking on the glass floor!
🏙️ City Tour: Relaxed drive through old and new Dubai. We stopped whenever needed for snack breaks.
🤖 Museum of the Future: Futuristic, interactive, and fun — though more engaging for our older one. The visuals fascinated Aagam too!
Day 4: Desert Safari & Dinner at Desert Camp
We avoided dune bashing with the baby (a bit too bumpy!) and instead enjoyed the camp experience. The older one loved the camel rides and sand play, while we watched the sunset as a family.
Day 5: Abu Dhabi – BAPS Hindu Temple & Sea World
A peaceful day in Abu Dhabi. The temple was calm and beautiful, and Sea World was an absolute hit with both kids — vibrant marine life, shows, and indoor comfort.
Day 6: Warner Bros Theme Park | Mall | Airport
A perfect finale! WB Theme Park was our older one’s dream come true — cartoon characters everywhere! Most areas are indoor and air-conditioned, so Aagam stayed comfortable throughout.

💡 Travel Tips for Parents Visiting Dubai
- Keep to your baby’s routine — most attractions open late, so you can plan around naps easily.
- Carry a light jacket for malls (ACs can be chilly).
- Use Careem or Uber for easy transport with kids.
- Modest clothing is appreciated in public places, but casual wear is fine in malls and beaches.
- Hydrate often and take snack breaks.
